(AhlulBayt News Agency) - ISIS publicly executed an elderly man in Raqqa city, after accusing him of being a wizard and a practitioner of magic.
“An ISIS Takfiri terrorist beheaded the elderly man in front of hundreds of people in al-Hamam Square in Raqqa,” local media activist Khalid al-Omar told ARA News.
The ISIS-led Islamic Police, also known as Diwan al-Hisba, had arrested the unfortunate man earlier on Thursday, under the pretext that he was practicing magic.
After a brief hearing on Friday, the Sharia Court in Raqqa convicted the man and ordered his immediate execution, which was duly carried out.
“The Sharia Court claimed that they’ve found tools and materials at the man’s house proving the allegation,” al-Omar reported.
Practicing magic is strictly banned by ISIS, which divides the practice into black and white. Black magic is defined as the use of supernatural powers to cause harmful acts; white magic is confined to inducing fortuitous events.
The extremist group believes that all magicians are “apostates” who oppose “the law of Allah!”
